Police release video of armed robbery at Friendly’s in Andorra

The Philadelphia Police department is seeking assistance in capturing a suspect involved in a Ridge Avenue robbery at gunpoint.

On Monday, police released a video detailing the robbery, which occurred at 6:15 a.m. on Nov. 10 at the Friendly’s Restaurant located at 9165 Ridge Ave in Andorra. An employee was entering the restaurant when an unknown male suspect armed with a handgun followed him inside.

Once inside, the suspect removed his weapon and pointed it at the head of an employee, demanding money and forcing all of the employees into a supply closet at the rear of the restaurant. The suspect then took an undetermined amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction, possibly in an older dark green minivan.

The suspect is described as 30-year-old black male with medium complexion, 6’1″, 160 lbs., wearing a black skull cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, white gloves, and brown boots at the time of the robbery.
