Rittenhouse Square will annex 18th Street for outdoor cafe

Rittenhouse Square is taking over and shutting down a block of 18th Street today, but don’t call it a block party. The stretch between Locust and Walnut will become a giant outdoor cafe from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. so three restaurants can expand their seating area.
Rouge, Parc and Devon will donate a portion of the day’s sales to Friends of Rittenhouse Square, Uwishunu reports, and the Rittenhouse Farmers Market will make it’s usual appearance from 9:30 to 3.If you’re so inclined, stick around for an outdoor screening of the Sixth Sense in the park.
