Reward totals $35,000 in Philly woman’s slaying

Authorities say $35,000 in reward money is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder of a woman found dead in a Philadelphia park after going on an evening run.

Police say 46-year-old Constance Murray was found dead early Tuesday in Pennypack Park in northeast Philadelphia. An autopsy indicated that that the mother of two had been strangled.

John McNesby, president of Lodge 5 of the Fraternal Order of Police, said the police union is offering a $10,000 reward and members of the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to arrest of the person or persons responsible.

Those amounts are in addition to the city’s $20,000 reward for information and conviction in the case.
