Residents of a Moorestown street encourage drivers to slow down

Residents of Moorestown’s Pleasant Valley Avenue are tired of living on a block where they say drivers in a rush ignore the family-friendly speed limit.

Thought Pleasant Valley Avenue has a posted 35mph speed limit, its juxtaposition between Routes 38 and 41 makes it a speedway.

Moorestown Patch caught up with Larry and Jonnene Dunne who have taken it upon themselves to encourage motorists to slow down and “Drive Like Your Kids Live Here.”

That’s what the signs that now adorn their lawns say. Until traffic study results are ready, police won’t know if the speeding warrant extra enforcement on the block.
