Residents can return to Maurice River Parkway area
The voluntary evacuation order issued yesterday for the Maurice River Parkway area has been lifted.
Vineland sent the order yesterday afternoon when concerns grew over potential dam breaks at Iona and Willow Grove lakes. As of noon today, residents can return to their homes.
The News of Cumberland County reports Weymouth Road west of Mill Road is closed until further notice. Inspections are ongoing to determine the effects of Irene, and this closure could be long term.
Garden and Almond roads will be closed westbound until the water recedes.
