Reports: Two bank robberies in Toms River Friday

    Police are investigating two bank robberies that occurred in Toms River early Friday evening. 

    The first occurred at the TD Bank branch at 10 Mule Road at 4:36 p.m., according to a report on Toms River Patch. Chief Mitch Little told the publication that a man handed a teller a note, demanding money, then fled on foot.

    The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, wearing a green jacket with the hood up, wool hat, and sunglasses. 

    The second occurred at the Santander Bank branch at 190 Route 37 at approximately 6:10 p.m, according to Ocean County Police, Fire, & EMS on Facebook.
