NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller sat down with Dave Davies and Joe Hernandez for a reporters roundtable discussion of some of this week’s biggest stories — the PPA’s recent scandal and the Bridgegate trial.

There were calls for investigating the Philadelphia Parking Authority this week, after the departure of its executive director Vince Fenerty following the revelation of two sexual harassment complaints. But this isn’t the first scandal at the Parking Authority. WHYY’s senior reporter Dave Davies, who has been around City Hall a long time, joined the show to discuss specifics  of the parking authority operation that seem to generate such controversy.

WHYY New Jersey corespondent Joe Hernandez has been covering the Bridgegate trial. The prosecution’s star witness took the stand for the entire second week of the trial in federal court in Newark. Former Port Authority executive David Wildstein discussed the politically motivated lane closures, said he helped cover it up, and even testified that Gov. Chris Christie knew about the scheme while it was unfolding.
