Report: Le Bec Fin will ‘retire’ and make way for new restaurant

You can’t talk about Philly’s restaurant scene without talking about Le Bec Fin. But soon all that talk will be past tense.

The Center City restaurant will “retire” next month, according to Michael Klein of the Inquirer. The restaurant closed in early 2012 when owner and chef Georges Perrier stepped down. It’s been less than a year since Le Bec Fin re-opened under new management.

Fear not, though. After some renovations, a new restaurant will inhabit 1523 Walnut St. It’ll be run by Roxborough native Justin Bogle.
