Christie announces more changes to N.J. cabinet

    Update, 2 p.m. N.J. Gov. Chris Christie has made more changes to his cabinet.

    The Associated Press reports Ken Kobylowski will replace Tom Considine as head of the state Department of Banking and Insurance. Kobylowski was Considine’s chief of staff.
    Christie has also nominated Brigadier General Michael Cunniff as permanent leader of the Department of Military and Veteran Affairs. Cunniff has been interim leader since mid-December.

    Original report Tom Considine, commissioner of the state Department of Banking and Insurance, will resign, according to the Star-Ledger, citing an anonymous source.

    Considine has held the position for two years after spending almost two decades with MetLife. He’ll likely return to the private sector.
