Rendell, MSNBC deal in the works (updated)

We haven’t seen the last of Fast Eddie. POLITICO reports former Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell is nearing a deal with MSNBC.

 

A report says the deal could be finalized as early this week, with Rendell set as a contributor for the 2012 campaign cycle. As Dave Davies reported Friday, Rendell has confirmed he’ll be spending two days a month working at the Brookings Institute in DC. He’s also confirmed his return to Philadelphia’s Ballard Spahr law firm.

UPDATE: Ballard Spahr has released a statement welcome Rendell. Part of the release reads:

“Gov. Rendell will work with all of the Ballard Spahr partners and offices, advising current public and private clients of the firm and forging new client relationships. He will play an integral role in counseling clients in a world in which law, business, and government must adapt quickly to change.”
