Red Cross counselors prepare for trip to Alabama

    As WHYY’s Lizz Fiedler reported earlier, a dozen mental health counselors from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Red Cross will be heading to the South to assist tornado victims.

    Two of those counselors have just been told they’re heading out shortly.
    Lizz tells us those Philadelphia-area counselors will head to Alabama in the next 24 hours to assess the damage and determine where to concentrate their efforts.
