Ravioli recalled for undeclared soy allergen

Rising Moon Organics says no reports of illness have come through, but a voluntary recall has been issued for the company’s Rising Moon Organics Mediterranean Garlic & Herb Ravioli product.

Lots of the frozen product with the sell by date of April 5, 2012, have been pulled from shelves for an undeclared soy allergen. The packages are correctly labeled on the front, but the pack says Four Cheese Tortelloni, UPC# 7-85030-55559-0. Those ingredients don’t have soy, but the ravioli does.
Soy happens to be an allergen that could pose life-threatening risks.

You can get a full refund from your retailer and call the company with questions at 888-534-0246 ext. 25154.
