Ramsey personally enforces ‘live-stop’ law

Philadelphia’s live-stop law helps keep illegal drivers off the street by bringing in the tow trucks when a driver’s traffic violation leads police to discover a missing license or registration.

One woman learned that first-hand today when none other than Commission Charles Ramsey enforced the law. Heard in the Hall reports Ramsey was riding with an officer en route from a meeting when a driver illegally turned left onto Arch from Broad.

The tow truck was called in when it was revealed the woman only has a permit, not a license. Oops.
