Rain associated with a cold front and a low pressure system will overspread the area late tonight, forecasters say.

Periods of heavy rain are expected tomorrow morning, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters expect some flooding of poor drainage areas.

By the afternoon, rain is likely to become more showery, and some clearing is possible.

High temperatures will reach around 60 degrees.

Breaks in the clouds during the afternoon — especially in southern areas — could spark thunderstorms during through the evening hours.

Locally strong winds and large hail are possible in any storms that develop.

Skies then begin to clear late Monday night, leading to a mostly sunny and mild Tuesday.
