Rabies confirmed in skunk captured in Cherry Hill Township

What’s worse than encountering a skunk? How ’bout encountering one with rabies?

Camden County officials have confirmed a skunk captured from Cherry Hill Township’s Barclay Farm section last week has tested positive for rabies.
The dog it came into contact with has been vaccinated.

Patch has posted tips from the county on its website, including: “Enjoy wild animals such as raccoons, skunks, and foxes from afar. Do not handle, feed, or unintentionally attract wild animals with open garbage cans or litter.”
