QFest begins 12-day run of LGBT films and events

QFest starts today, bringing a 12-day celebration of LGBT films to Philadelphia. The 17th annual event will bring more than 80 filmmakers to the city.

Films are screening every night tonight through Monday, July 18, and events are sprinkled throughout. Pre-parties, after parties and awards dot the festival, which has earned sponsorships from local vendors and national corporations.

You can get the full schedule of events and screenings on the QFest site, and check out Peter Crimmins’ preview of the dinner with French adult film star Francois Saga.
