A group is returning lost Purple Heart medals belonging to three World War II veterans from New Jersey.

Purple Hearts Reunited on Monday will present to the town of Kearny the medal that belonged to Army Pvt. Wilfred Warhurst Jr. The resident died from wounds sustained in the Battle of the Bulge. His medal was found in a parking lot in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, 20 years ago.

Bernardsville will get a lost Purple Heart that was earned by Marine Cpl. Dominic Orlando, who was wounded twice in the South Pacific.

The group in Harrington Park will present the Purple Heart found 30 years ago in an apartment to a cousin of Navy Fireman George Greer Jr., who died when his ship was attacked off Okinawa.
