Punxsutawney Phil predicts six more weeks of winter, others say spring is close
Seems Punxsutawney Phil has some explaining to do.
The Inner Circle of the official Groundhog Day groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter after Phil saw his shadow this morning at Gobbler’s Knob in Pennsylvania.
But three other groundhogs and a group of coatimundis predict otherwise. Staten Island Chuck, Buckeye Chuck and West Virginia’s French Creek Freddie all say spring is near, as do the three coatimundis at Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton, N.J.
Well Phil, we are having unseasonably warm weather in these parts. We’ll know for sure who’s right in six weeks’ time.
