Public hearing on Pencader

The State Board of Education will host a second public hearing as part of the formal review of Pencader Charter School.  The state’s Charter School Accountability Committee recently recommened revoking the charter of the New Castle school.  State Secretary of Education Mark Murphy will consider the recommendation along with the comments from the public hearing before making his own recommendation to the Board of Education.  Board members will consider all recommendations at their meeting on February 21.  Tonight’s meeting will be held at Delaware Technical and Community College’s Stanton Campus at 6:30 p.m.
