A woman is being charged with hindering the investigation into the shooting death of an 8-year-old girl in Camden last month.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office said 35-year-old Shakia Land gave detectives a false alibi for a person of interest in the shooting.

Police have still not charged the killer, but they say the investigation is ongoing.

A stray bullet struck 8-year-old Gabrielle Hill Carter while she was riding her bike in Camden on August 24th. She died a few days later.
