Preview: Marcellus Shale Coalition comes to town
The Marcellus Shale Coalition comes to town tomorrow, and the two-day convention will result in a variety of sideshows.
NPR’s StateImpact Pennsylvania has a list of things we should look out for this week as the city turns its attention to natural gas drilling.
While things take shape inside the Convention Center, reporter Scott Detrow tells us to expect some rallies, protests and guest appearances by fracking opponents.
We should also expect to see some familiar faces around town. Gov. Tom Corbett and former Govs. Tom Ridge and Ed Rendell are due to appear at the conference. All three are expected to give speeches about the natural gas industry.
Look for more details this evening from Health & Science reporter Carolyn Beeler and full coverage from StateImpact reporters Scott Detrow and Susan Phillips.
