Conshohocken’s Maura Manzo really wants to go to South Africa. The yoga instructor is hoping to raise funds help women there who are struggling with HIV/AIDS. So she’s using her skills on the mat to help her get there.
Through donations-only yoga classes and other fundraises, Manzo is hoping to raise $20,000 through her Local for Global mission to participate in “Off the Mat & Into the World,” a program that brings yoga and activism together.
Manzo is more than halfway to her goal, but has a Dec. 15 deadline.
