A portion of Hooper Avenue in Toms River is closed this morning due to a power outage, police say.
The roadway is closed between Church Road and Fischer Boulevard, according to an alert from the Toms River Police Department.
It’s due to a power outage in the Silverton section of the township.
JCP&L crews are investigating the outage, which is impacting between 101 and 500 utility customers.
Police say that the closure will last until the afternoon and to expect heavy delays.
