Pooches party at costume contest for dogs in East Falls [gallery]
As part of the neighborhood’s ongoing Fall Festival, members of the East Falls Dog Park Committee and supporters held a “Dog Costume Party” at McMichael Park on Saturday afternoon.
At the second-annual event, a beagle labrador named Chase took top honors for the “dog-tini” costume.
In second place was a pooch named Maggie who wore a taco costume for the event held six days before Halloween.
The gathering benefited the East Falls Dog Park organization, which continues to work toward finding a location for an enclosed playspace for pooches in the Northwest Philadelphia neighborhood.
