Police: Teens rape, rob woman walking home from gym

Two teens have been arrested in the robbery and rape of a 19-year-old woman police say was walking home from the gym when she was dragged behind a building and assaulted.

Police say the 14 and 17-year-old boys accosted the woman around 11 p.m. Thursday on Richmond Street in an industrial and commercial area of the city’s Port RIchmond section near Interstate 95.

Police say the teens raped the woman in a dimly lit area near freight rail tracks that run close to the Delaware River.

Police say the suspects took cash, cell phone and other items from the woman and were found with some of them a short time later.
