Police release video of Germantown Ave. cell-phone store burglary

On Tuesday, Philadelphia Police released surveillance footage from a March 13 burglary of the Cricket store on Germantown Avenue near Roosevelt Boulevard.

According to police, an unknown man threw a rock through the front-door glass around 4:30 a.m., took a cash drawer containing roughly $100 and fled.

The two-and-a-half minute video shows the alleged burglar approaching the building. Then, he is shown entering the store, going behind the counter, grabbing the cash drawer and climbing out through the hole in the door.

He’s described as being between 20 and 30 years old, 5-foot-9 with a medium build and a beard.
