Police release video of grocery store theft in Andorra

Philadelphia Police are searching for two suspects caught on surveillance video stealing from a woman at an Andorra ACME Market last month.

Police say a female customer was shopping at the ACME in the Andorra Shopping Center at 3:30 p.m. on April 26 when an unknown woman engaged in conversation with her. While the female suspect was distracting the shopper, an unknown male is captured on video going into the woman’s purse, which was left in the shopping cart, and removing the wallet.

The wallet contained several credit cards and $100 in cash.  Police say the woman contacted her credit card company and was told that the card was used the same day inside of that same ACME.

The male suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 30 and 40 with a beard. The female suspect is described as a black woman between the ages of 30 and 40 who was dressed in black garb on the day of the theft.

If you have any information on the identities of these two suspects, call the Northwest Detective unit at 215-686-3353.
