Police raid house believed to be linked to school kidnapping

    Police have raided a home that they believe is connected to last month’s kidnapping of a young girl from her elementary school classroom.

     

     

    Philly.com reports that police raided a West Philadelphia home on Friday. “Sources at the scene” report officers removed items from the residence including a squawking bird and a carpet.

    The victim of the kidnapping, a five-year-old girl taken from Bryant Elementary School by a woman posing as her mother, was found the next day in an Upper Darby playground.

    She reportedly told police that while she was held prisoner, she spent time under a bed and could hear a bird in the house.
