Police investigate death of 3-year-old girl from West Oak Lane

A Philadelphia Police spokesperson confirmed Monday that investigators are looking into the death of a 3-year-old girl who was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center just before 2 a.m.

Officer Christine O’Brien, a department spokeswoman, said that the girl was transported to the hospital from a home in the 6500 block of Ogontz Ave. by a private vehicle.

She said a cause of death had not yet been officially determined for the “sudden death.”

However, 6abc is citing sources who indicated that the girl, whose identity has not been publicly released, was a twin who “only weighed 18 pounds [and] also had ‘sustained bruising’ and other injuries.”
