Delaware Police trying to locate stolen statues

Four African statues, worth about $10,000 each, have been stolen from a home in New Castle County.

Police say the exotic statues were taken from a yard in the north Wilmington community of Williamhurst sometime between last Friday and Saturday.  The owner said the exotic, black stone statues had been imported from Zimbabwe.  They are between two and three feet tall and weigh about 150 pounds.  Two statues depict humans, and two of them depict monkeys.

Anyone who can assist in the investigation is asked to call New Castle County Police at 302-395-8110, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.  Information may also be texted to police at 847411.
