West Oak Lane woman charged with DUI in collision which hurt two police officers

Philadelphia Police have identified the women who allegedly struck a parked police car and injured police officers in an overnight accident in East Germantown.

Latrese Savior, 23, of the 1400 block of 72nd Ave. in West Oak Lane, is charged with DUI, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief after her 1999 Nissan Maxima struck a 14th District police car on the 300 block of E. Chelten Ave.

At approximately 12:52 a.m., Savior was reportedly headed eastbound on Chelten Ave. when she swerved into the parking lane, striking the police car. One officer was briefly pinned between the Maxima and the cruiser as a result.

A second police vehicle was also damaged.

The injured officer was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was last listed in stable condition. A second officer, seated in the parked vehicle, was also taken to Einstein but released.

Savior, who was taken into custody, was uninjured.
