Police host wing bowl for injured PGW employees
It’s wing bowl season. The big event is still a week or two away, but the Fraternal Order of Police kicks the gorging off tonight in a benefit event for the workers injured during the explosion in Tacony last week.
Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 will host the open event, sponsored by Firefighters union Local 22 and the Building Trades of Philadelphia.
Money raised at the annual event will go to the families of the deceased and injured PGW workers involved in last week’s explosion in Tacony. The wing bowl winner gets a weekend in the Poconos.
Doors open at 3:30 today and eating begins at 7:30.
