Police: Drunk Fla. man caused fatal Philly crash

Police say a Florida man was drunk behind the wheel of a rental vehicle when he caused a crash that killed an 11-year-old girl who was shopping inside a Philadelphia fish market with her mother.

Investigators say 28-year-old Maximiliano Alejandro Drosi said he’d been distracted by his GPS when he ran a red light Sunday afternoon, crashing into a sport utility vehicle which then slammed into a store in the city’s Italian Market.

The SUV crashed through the front of the store, pinning the young girl against a wall. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 3-year-old boy was also injured in the crash, along with three adults, including the SUV driver.
