Police arrest one West Oak Lane pharmacy robbery suspect, seek accomplice

Police arrested one of two suspects in the Nov. 7 robbery of the Oak Lane Pharmacy robbery. Now, detectives seek the public’s help in identifying the second robber.

Lovell Lewis, 19, was arrested Monday after police received an anonymous phone tip that led them to his whereabouts. According to the Citizens Crime Commission, the tipster already received a $1,000 reward for providing information that led to the arrest.

On Monday, Nov. 7, Lewis and an unidentified accomplice entered the Oak Lane Pharmacy at 6724 Old York Road. Lewis, allegedly armed with a silver revolver, got behind the counter and demanded prescription drugs. The pharmacist filled Lewis’s messenger bag with narcotics.

Police describe the second suspect, who stood as a lookout at the pharmacy’s door, as a black male, 25 years of age, 6-feet tall with a stocky build. He was wearing all black clothing and a bandana over his face during the robbery.
