    How desperate are local TV stations for ratings and revenue?

    Desperate enough for a Miami TV anchor to report that she groped herself in front of President Obama in the White House. I’m not kidding – that’s what she said.

    As the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jonathan Storm reported yesterday, things are tough for local TV stations these days. Declining audiences and sagging revenues have them cutting expenses, tweaking formats, combining functions and re-tooling websites.

    With that in mind, check out the way Miami station WSVN handled its anchor Lynn Martinez getting a seven-minute sit-down with President Obama in the White House. See the video here.
