Pittsburgh man charged in Philadelphia garage rape
Police say they’ve arrested a Pittsburgh man in the rape of a woman at a Philadelphia parking garage.
WPVI-TV reports Steven Woodson is charged with rape, robbery and attempted murder in the attack Thursday on a 33-year-old woman at a garage used by residents of the One Franklin Town Apartments.
Police say a man driving into the garage during the attack chased the 32-year-old Woodson.
The woman suffered extensive injuries and is listed in stable condition at Hahnemann University Hospital.
Information on Woodson’s lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
The garage at 17th and Callowhill streets is near the main campus of the Community College of Philadelphia.
A college spokeswoman says it isn’t owned or operated by the college and isn’t used by students or faculty.
