Pitman ‘Keep Christ in Christmas” banner now available in bumper sticker form

The Freedom from Religion Foundation wants Pitman, N.J., to remove a “Keep Christ in Christmas” banner that’s stretched above the borough’s main street.

But the phrase is about to start popping up elsewhere, and there might not be a whole lot the FFRF can do about it.
Dick Salmon, who printed the original sign more than a decade ago, tells the Gloucester County Times he’s had more made: 2 inch by 12 inch bumper stickers and 5 inch by 24 inch signs. People who want to show support for the banner can buy a smaller version at cost.

The FFRF wants the banner taken down because of its religious message, but the borough says doing so is a matter of zoning.

At this rate, Christmas will be over before any decision is made.
