Pinching pennies

    Money’s getting tight in the School District of Philadelphia as it reaches the end of its stimulus funds, and one’s really sure how to cover the gap. As Susan Philips reported last night following a last-minute conference call with Mayor Nutter and Super Intendent Arlene Ackerman, the District denies a $400 gap, but says the budget process for next year has just begun.
