Phoenixville Council vice president announces resignation

Phoenixville Borough Council Vice President Michael Handwerk resigned Tuesday night, a decision unanimously accepted by the council.

Handwerk, as The Phoenix reports, simply stated his intention to resign and did not give a reason for doing so.

The council will hold a meeting later this month to interview candidates. Kendrick Buckwalter will assume the role as vice president.
