Philly-wide toast and free beer to celebrate brewing milestone

Philadelphians are more apt to ask for a “lager” when ordering a Yuengling, but the Pennsylvania brewing company doesn’t much care which terminology bar patrons use. The nation’s oldest brewery now has the distinction of being the largest American-owned brewery, and there’s free beer in it for you – assuming you’re of legal drinking age.

Today is National Drink Beer Day, and at 6:30 p.m. on the dot, Dick Yuengling will be on Comcast SportsNet to toast the city that’s supported his brewery all these years. Patrons at 250 bars in and around Philadelphia can participate in the toast and get a free bottle of Yuengling.
