Philly student interns with New York Times crossword editor

Something tells us our NewsWorks interns aren’t having as much fun as this guy. While they’re sitting in court rooms and tracking down Congressional reps (OK, that stuff is fun, too), Joel Fagliano is interning with the New York Times crossword editor.

And of course, one of interns covered the story. Fagliano of East Mt. Airy is spending the summer with Will Shortz, who chooses and edits crosswords submitted by readers.

Fagliano talked to our Donald Hoegg about what it takes to have a crossword chosen, and what it’s like to be in the home of a crossword guru.
