Philly first: Philadelphia Union clinch first postseason berth

The Phillies may be out and the Eagles may be hanging on but the Philadelphia Union are alive and well.

The Major League Soccer team clinched its first postseason berth last night in a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC in the final home game of the season.

All it took was a single goal from Sebastien Le Toux and a loss from the Red Bulls to help earn the opportunity to move beyond the regular season.

The Union clinched the postseason berth in front of a crowd of 19,178 fans. The team plays its regular-season finale Thursday night at Red Bull Arena with first place in the Eastern Conference on the line for the two teams.
