Phillies accept fan-supported Harry Kalas statue

Soon a bronze tribute to Harry Kalas will be back in the beloved Phillies announcer’s second home. The Phillies have accepted the 7-foot statue commissioned by fans.

Dear Harry Inc. is a fan group created with the express purpose of creating a Kalas statue, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports, and with the help of sculptor Lawrence J. Nowlan, made it happen.

Funded entirely by fans, the statue will live at Citizens Bank Park after an unveiling date that’s not yet been determined.
