Philadelphia’s 99 percent will converge in Washington, D.C., next week

Whatever Occupy Philly says at today’s news conference about the group’s next steps, members will have to take a few days off next week for the trip to D.C.

Fight For Philly is taking RSVPs for a Dec. 6 bus trip to D.C., where Congress will discuss the possible extension of unemployment benefits and the Super Committee eyes more cuts.

Free buses will leave from 846 N. Broad Street Tuesday and Wednesday, with buses returning Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Members of the 99 percent from across the nation are expected to attend for the teach-ins, Congressional visits and training sessions.
