Philadelphia to kick off two-year workforce project

    Philadelphia is celebrating work.In partnership with the Mural Arts Program and the Citizens Bank Foundation, Mayor Michael Nutter will announce Thursday the city’s effort to promote workforce development.
    The “How We Fish” project kicks off with a $200,000 grant from the Citizens Bank Foundation and culminate with a mural celebrating work.The two-year project “is designed to serve as a catalyst and convener for meaningful dialogue about workforce development and job creation for Philadelphia’s residents and business and community leaders.”Community input will help decide what the mural at Eighth and Cherry streets will look like.Expect more details about the project Thursday afternoon.
