Philadelphia Public Defender not staffing three courtrooms

Staffing has been eliminated for now at three of the busiest Common Pleas courtrooms in Philadelphia.  The action is not being taken by city officials.  Rather it’s a form of protest by the defender’s association.

Newsworks Tonight Host Dave Heller spoke with Chief Public Defender Ellen Greenlee about the stoppage and negotiations with the city.

Editor’s Note: City officials declined to comment on the situation.
