Philadelphia jeweler writes another check for Flight 93 memorial

Families of 9/11 Flight 93 victims petitioned the feds last month for funding to help complete the memorial in Shanksville, Pa.

With $10 million to go until completion, the memorial will get a little help tomorrow from Philadelphia jeweler Stephen Singer. The Philadelphia Business Journal reports he’ll present a $72,425 check to the National Park Service. Singer has raised $309,000 for the memorial.

Funding has come from sale proceeds of $10 “9/11 Never Forget” pins.
