Philadelphia fans still pretty ‘Lost’

Devotees wonder if they will follow a TV show like this one ever again

After six seasons and hundreds of plot twists, the ABC series Lost aired its final episode Sunday night. The show has earned a cult following among viewers who will no doubt continue endlessly to debate its enigmatic storyline on internet forums for months.

Without spoiling the ending for those who haven’t seen it, Lost finished its confusing, often infuriating plot on a positive, but still mysterious note.

For local fans of the show, Lost isn’t just the name of the series. For Spiro Koltsaklis, it describes how he feels about the characters of the show, who he’s more or less come to consider personal friends.

“After all these seasons and after all the stories and all the questions and mysteries, everything like that, it finally got answered. So I think it was bittersweet, the whole thing, because we got the answer, but I mean the show’s over now.”

Koltsaklis, a devoted fan who hasn’t missed an episode, says he was satisfied with the ending even though it didn’t tie up all the loose ends. He says he’s not sure another show will so captivate his attention.
