PGW unhappy with state regulators’ report on Tacony gas explosion

PGW has until next month to formally respond to the Public Utility Commissions’ report that the gas utility failed to file some of its own procedures in a Tacony gas explosion that left a 19-year-old PGW worker dead last January.

But PGW executive Craig E. White said yesterday his company is disappointed in the PUC report, which could eventually lead to heavy fines for the utility.

White contests claims in the report that employee Mark Keeley, who died in the explosion was unsupervised and inadequately trained for the situation he was in.
