Philly native tries to use Monopoly money at Penn State game

Desperate times call for desperate measures, especially when it  comes to football.

Just this past Saturday, as the Penn State Nittany Lions suffered a crushing defeat against the Alabama Crimson Tide (27-11), a Philadelphian man was found near Beaver Stadium, attempting to pay for the game with Monopoly money, according to the Centre Daily Times.

The man was later arrested and put in the Centre County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. The jail probably won’t take his Monopoly money, either.
